Meet Our Team!
Here at Boomer Veterinary Hospital we treat every client as though they were family and each pet as if they were our own. In fact, we named the clinic after our dog, “Boomer.” Our entire staff is vaccinated for Covid-19 and Influenza. We have Blue Air HEPA filters to prevent the spread of airborne diseases no matter which they may be (such as Kennel Cough or Flu). We provide comprehensive, high quality veterinary care with emphasis on exceptional client service and patient care. We also believe that going to the veterinarian can be scary for some pets, but it should never be scary! We want pets to have the best experience possible, which is why we believe in Fear Free practices and not separating you from your pet during examinations.
We are the ONLY Fear Free Certified Practice in Norman and our staff are Certified Fear Free Professionals! Please bring your pet hungry so we can give them lots of treats! |
Dr. DentonDr. Denton wanted to be a veterinarian ever since she was six years old. She grew up split between Dallas, TX and St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. She attended college at Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Veterinary Microbiology. With these degrees in mind, she attended Ross Veterinary School with the hopes of moving to Georgia to specialize as a poultry veterinarian. Plans changed after she met her future husband on a misadventure in Norman on Christmas break. Dr. Denton chose to finish her clinical year at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK. Dr. Denton lives in Norman, with her husband and their two children on a ranch where they raise Belted Galloway cattle. In her spare time, Dr. Denton likes to ride her horses either on the trail or in the dressage ring. She has a plethora of other animals, which include, but is not limited to chickens, pigs, cats, and dogs. And oddly enough, she does not like chocolate! Dr. Denton is a Certified Fear Free Professional Veterinarian.

StephanieHello! My name is Stephanie! I have a passion for helping Pet Parents with all their fur baby’s needs. Just a little about myself: I love all types of animals and have worked at a veterinary clinic for nearly 8 years. During this time, I have taken care of everything from the smallest of kittens to very old dogs, and everything in between. I really enjoy geriatric patients. The clinic I worked at was very fast paced and also saw emergencies, so I acquired a variety of experience often worked under a lot of pressure and stressful situations, but it was enjoyable. I also have other animal related experience and am currently trying to obtain my Groomer Certification. At home, I have 3 dogs, 2 bunnies, a cat, and a bearded dragon named Buffy. One of my dogs is a 6 lb special needs blind Chihuahua named Anna.
Stephanie is our dog lover and dog groomer. She is also a Certified Fear Free Professional Veterinary Assistant and Groomer.

LisaI have never worked at a veterinary hospital before, but I have always loved animals. Growing up, our home was like a small zoo. From fish, hermit crabs, snakes and lizards to cats, dogs, rabbits and birds, my family gladly adopted so many strays and rescues. I'm excited to finally be working with animals. My education is in advertising and communications. My husband and I owned our own business for over 20 years. We started as a small company with only one employee and grew to 35 co-workers. My experience includes business organization, all aspects of office and personnel management, as well as customer service and sales training and implementation. But my pets have always been a huge part of my life and we passed this love of animals to our daughter. At home now, we have one cat and one dog. It's wonderful to be surrounded by co-workers who share my love and desire to care for animals. And I look forward to getting to know you and your fuzzier family members.
Lisa is our awesome receptionist.
